Dear Treggers,
I want to design a system to process voice and data from the Telecom
network in the UK and at the same time, call and pass data to devices such as
telephones and fax machines. Processors, I am OK with but I don't want to
reinvent the wheel when it comes to Telecoms.
Can someone please tell me :
a) Is there a good book on the subject of telephone systems especially giving
the specification of signals used (ie ringing voltages, format of callers number
transmission, fax tone frequencies etc) ? This needs to be relatively low cost
since this is a personal project.
b) Are there some standard interface components which could be used ?
I would be grateful for any information you may have.
