Please refer to any directives which apply to your products and 93/68/EEC which
ammends the marking requirements (for

the purpose of harmonization). Generally speaking, it needs to be at least 5mm
in height and affixed to the product

in an indelible, permanent fashion. Certain directives, i.e.telecom, reqire
the last two digits of the year the mark

was placed to accompany the "CE." Another TREGer will probably have more exact
info. on the requirements of that

directive. Some manufactures are placing the CE label on the packages for
marketing purposes.

Subject: CE Terminal Marking Location
To: [email protected]

     Hello,

Does anyone know the rule for where the CE terminal mark must be
placed? For instance can it just be placed on the packing box, in the
manual, just any where on the equipment, must it be visible from the
outside or must it be placed next to the actual external interface?

     Thank you,
