My suggestion would be to use IEC950 and forget about the ENs. I thought that EN41003 was going to die years ago. Taking into account that = EN 60950 +a1+a2+a3 includes "equipment to be connected directly to a = TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK ..... regardless of the source of power", Does anybody know an example in which EN 60950 does not apply and EN = 41003 yes? Does anybody understand why EN 41003 exists? ---------- De: Richard Hughes[SMTP:[email protected]] Enviado: lunes 10 de febrero de 1997 9:34 Para: [email protected]; [email protected] Asunto: BS EN 41003: 1997 now available BS EN 41003: 1997, the UK edition of the CENELEC document EN 41003: = 1996, is now available from BSI. This now supersedes the previous revision of this standard (BS EN 41003: 1993) following the publication of amendment A3: 1995 of EN 60950. Readers may be particularly interested in the first two sentences of the scope, which state "This standard applies to equipment designed and intended to be connected to a TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK termination. = It does not apply to equipment covered by EN 60950."
