Liz,

Thank you for the information.

I have a correction to your statements on TBR 21 testing:

I asked a colleague of mine that has close contact with Dutch testing
institute to query them on TBR 21 status in Holland. He received the
following response last Friday (6/20):

The Dutch testing institute confirmed the Netherlands is working on the
acceptance of TBR21. Before that could happen the Dutch EC committee
members had to submit a proposal to start TBR 21 testing. If other EC
countries have no objections, then proposal is submitted to the Dutch
politicians to make the final decision. The proposal was submitted to EC
in late April.

After submission to EC there is a 3 month waiting period during which time
other countries can present comments or objections to the committee. The
waiting period ends in late July. The Dutch politicians will then make
their decision. They can take several months to do so. Although at times
they have made decisions very quickly.

Consequently, at this moment it is business as usual in Holland, meaning
TBR 21 compliant modems will not be tested for TBR 21 compliance, until
some time after late July.

I hope this is clear to all.

If anyone else has any corrections, comments or a more current status
report, please let us know.

Thank you in advance.
