I have been observing the question and answer game on TREG and on EMC-PC for some time now and something occured to me over the 1st/4th of July week that has all of Northern North America (Mexico is also part of North America) celebrating how they distanced themselves from the Queen and Crown. (Should perhaps add China to that).
Apart from a token Israeli, Taiwanese, Singaporian, a maligned Frenchman and a Swiss citizen with Hungarian overtones, these problems mostly appear to Anglophone minds. Most of the answers appear to be generated as well by such minds. Most seminars on the subject appear to be organized by British organizations, most of the attendees are English or English leaning. The question now becomes, how do those not aligned with this group solve their problems. Are there German or French TREGs to deal with EU problems ??? Are there German or French seminars to deal with EU problems ??? (Examples only, I'd be glad to consider each of the official languages of the EU, even Flemish and Romansch). Do they have any problems, and are they the same problems ?? OR, Lord help us, given the well-known phenomenon that the language we use has a great influence on the way our brains construct their connections, could it be that the continuous and sustained use of the English language warps minds in such a way that these problems occur only in minds thus warped ???
