Hi Filiz,

The situation is as follows:

1. There is no ETSI vote on prTBR 21 in September.
2. TBR 21 is presently in the hands of ATAAB (Analogue Type Approval
Advisory Board), where the no-voters are hopefully being persuaded to
change their minds by having some (but not all!) of their additional
requirements adopted as "deltas" to the CTR which will be applied on a
semi-voluntary basis.
3. At the time when it has been decided to sent the document out for
re-vote, there will be a notification to the National Standards
Organisations in Europe (and ETSI members) of the vote. Interested
parties can obtain copies from their NSO and feed back comments and
opinions to the NSO, who will return the consensus of that country.
4. If you are an ETSI member, you can join the Analogue Terminals and
Access Project and participate in the activity if it is restarted. If
not, you can have some involvement via your NSO.
5. The "agenda" - if that's what you want to call it - varies. The good
guys (UK, Sweden, Denmark, France etc.) want TBR 21 sent out exactly as
it is now, whilst the bad guys (Germany, Portugal, Spain, Greece) each
want their own national standard to replace the existing draft.
6. If you want input to ATAAB, you will have to go via the ACTE member
of whatever country you choose to ally yourself with, probably by way of
a Trade Association and/or Government, and persuade them that TBR 21 is
the saviour of mankind, and that not to have it adopted will be The End
Of Life As We Know It...

Hi all,

As far as I know the Technical Committee of ETSI is responsible for the
TBR technical content and the next voting for TBR21 will be in
September.Does anyone know:
Where does this vote take place?
How does one get to input their concerns to this group?
Is it possible to know their agenda concerning the ratification of TBR21?
Are interested parties welcome?(non-members)
Can anyone supply me with a name(the commitee chairperson)?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
