If the equipment is placed in an area that will be accessible by "users" you cannot guarantee that they will not put their fingers in this area which is considered a hazard (>SELV). You have the following options: 1) The access to the area where the equipment is installed must be limited to only qualified service personnel, or 2) A suitable enclosure shall be placed around the areas which are considered a hazard. If this is the only area that is in question, is the supply required to produce the voltage in excess of SELV? If not, why don't you purchase a supply that is certified to be SELV?
