similar thing in Canada. Here the Bell say that this
Internet traffic is hogging too much time on the voice lines.
Upsetting all the cts (circuit connect seconds) calculations and
predictions. They need more money to detect our modems and put
us over the digital net where we belong.
A better idea would be to take my 2nd line from/to my modem
and have me use a high speed short haul modem to the digital
packet net in their office. No messing about with voice and
high speed data over copper. Short Haul modems have been in use
for Mega Yonks and without the restriction of passing through
the voice switch they can be really fast.
Lets be positive and offer a solution that is to our
advantage and stop being negative.
