Coming on board with regulatory department @ NORTEL was an eye opener with respect to the vast amount of information & experience one needed to successfully maintain the role of a regulatory compliance tech or engineer. Therefore the answer to my own question is YES. If the technical institute that I attended offered any instruction involving regulatory compliance, it would have made my grueling first two months in the department a little easier, thus benefiting my employer as well.
