Mel, As I'm finding out, again, JATE accepts little. The safety requirements may be UL1950-like if not more lenient, but an approval or certificate of compliance to non-Japanese requirements won't get you the approval. The application must be in the required format in Japanese backed up by data from tests performed according to their procedure. Safety's a small part of the requirements.
They're very particular on format and procedure. Dick Shultz >Dear TREG and emc-pstc: > >Does anyone know specifically if Japan accepts telephony equipment >approved to UL1459? I believe they accept UL1950 (IEC 950) equipment, but >I am not sure.
