Thanks to Doug Frazee for pointing out that AC Harmonics and Flicker ARE in
IEC 61326-1 (contrary to my previous comment), but only as a requirement
for Class B emissions.

These tests are tucked into the emission limits table (Table 4 on page 29)
and buried between the typical emission limit data. It would have been
helpful if it was listed in it's own table, owing to how unique it is
compared to the more common CISPR 11/22 emission standards insofar as test
setup goes. Another clue was that these standards were listed in the
normative reference as well.

So, Class A has another advantage over Class B.

Subject: RE: Fwd:EN61326 relative to ISM and ITE

I have reviewed a copy of the IEC version of this standard. It calls
out a mandatory test plan containing: EUT test configuration, operating
conditions, performance criteria and test descriptions. Immunity
requirements are: 1000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, and -11. Test levels are in
line with the current generic light industrial immunity standard.
Emissions limits are identical to CISPR22 for Class A/B equipments,
however class B equipments require 1000-3-2 and 1000-3-3 (low freq.
powerline harmonics/flicker); discontinuous interference per CISPR14 for
Class B equipments if appropriate. The specification is specifically
geared towards measurement, control and lab. equipment and will be
mandatory for these equipments, eventually. It will be significantly
more expensive to test to due to additional test requirements and the
mandatory test plan. As far as dates, I as well am trying to find out.
Global Engineering Documents does not yet have the EN in stock. Anyone
know the dop and dow?
