Adept Technology, Inc. (San Jose, CA) has an entry-level opening for a
COMPLIANCE TEST ENGINEER for their range of industrial Robots and Robot
Controllers. BSEE is required. Test Engineer will conduct and document
product Compliance Tests, mainly for EU (CE mark), related to EMC,
Electrical Safety, and Machinery Safety. Arrange for and oversee tests
conducted at local EMC Labs. Conduct or oversee Design-Verification tests
for new products. (Will report to Compliance Manager.)
Desired skills:
o Meticulous record keeping & report writing.
o Extensive knowledge of oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, function
generators & noise generators (ESD, FTB, Surge).
o Experience as an Engineering Technician prior to obtaining BSEE.
o Good EMC-knowledge and understanding.
o Basic or C Programming knowledge.
o Experience with high voltage circuits and instrumentation.
o Highly motivated. Safety conscious.
