Could you help me with a query I have ? I work as an approvals consultant in a Telecommunications Testing Laboratory in the UK. My role is to oversee the process of gaining type approvals of telecommunications equipment on behalf of our clients. I have a client who is seeking the type approval of some DSL products which are designed to provide telecommuters, home based businesses and other computer users with access to remote LANs and the internet. The DSL products achieve remote access over SDSL, ADSL and IDSL links. My client is looking to distribute the products in Germany but would like to ask the following questions before they can proceed: - Does Germany operate any SDSL, ADSL or IDSL services ? - Are there any testing requirements for connection to the SDSL, ADSL and /or IDSL interfaces in Germany ? - If there are testing requirements, what are the applicable standards ? - Does Germany have an approval route for such products, if yes, could you explain the process ? I would be most grateful if you could supply me with any information covering the above questions and thank you in anticipation.
