VCCI "member" manufacturers agree to comply. Membership is voluntary. Non-members are not required to comply, or at least this was so a few years ago. EMI requirements basically CISPR 22 requirements. Am not aware of any EMS requirements. Data and form must be submitted. Is the VCCI mark required to sell product in Japan? Is there a harmonics test required as part of the VCCI testing in order to apply the VCCI mark? If there is a harmonics requirement, is it in effect now or is there a period of time before compliance is mandatory (similar to the harmonics and flicker in Europe, 2001)?
