Hans' email about the lab list he is working on for Northern CA brings up
a
good question in my mind: Are there existing lists of EMC/Safety labs? If
so how can I get one.
I know the competition between labs these days are getting intense and
most
of the good world wide publications are financed by the bigger
laboratories. I have seen list of national labs but it would be nice to
have a Directory of test labs listed by specially and geographically.
For instance, in our lab we have a 10 meter anachoic chamber that can
handle test equipment up to 4000 lbs, 100Amps 3 phase, and is plumbed for
gases such as O2, H2, Argon, CO2, Compressed air and water (you get the
idea). Now if someone was looking for an EMC/Safety lab in their area
with
these capabilities how would they find out about it? I'm sure every lab
out there has special capabilities that would be helpful to our customers
to know. Most of my new customers tell me they have a hard time finding a
lab to test. Usually they contact the FCC which refers them to their PAL
system which is a good start.
Sorry to make this long, but is there a good US nation wide list or world
wide list of labs that someone can get?
Thanks,
Brian Kunde
