Sorry for the bounce, Vic, but you used the word sub****scribe, which is a
no-no on an automatic list server. - Jon.

I am thoroughly confused by this discussion. British Telecom has every
right in the world to ask for gold-plated equipment for internal, network=

equipment, used to provide services to its sub****scribers.

However, for telecom equipment used by BT sub****scribers the Low Voltage
Directive governs and you must make a declaration to the effect that you
comply with the essential requirements of that Directive. If you comply
with the requirements of EN 60 950, you are deemed to have met those
requirements.

Where does BABT come in at all, except as a voluntary validation body tha=
t
will back
up your DoC ???????

Ciao,

Vic
