Here's Bill - and first, Patrick, many thanks for your very kind comments
on the FAQ. Much appreciated.

Regarding your offer to put something together, I've tried to make the
FAQ pointers to sources of information rather than the information
itself, as I'm in no way an expert myself and can't necessarily qualify
the accuracy of the information.

Every one of your questions is a good and pertinent one, and I think your
idea is excellent. After all, I have a "Q&A" section on EMC provided by
an expert and which seems to have stood the test of time, in that it
hasn't been challenged by any of the experts who read the s.e.e.c
(sci.engr.electrical.compliance) newsgroup (where it was started, and is
still posted monthly), or who visit the Website where Martin Rowe kindly
archives it for me, as far as I can recall.

My suggestion is that we pilot it, i.e. you produce your questions and
answers, and we post it as a "pre-FAQ" to s.e.e.c and the Website, and
possibly this mailing list also, a couple of times with an invitation to
send you comments and corrections.

Then, when it is clear the information is stable, won't unintentionally
mislead, and isn't being challenged by experts, it can be included in the
FAQ proper, and will I'm sure prove highly valuable.

You could carry out this yourself, or I would be very happy to do the
admin side, if you provide the draft by email to me.

I've replied publicly in EMC-PSTC as well as direct, since other friends
may have comments on this suggestion.

In any event, the FAQ is intended as a general resource and, as I say
each time it is updated, all corrections and suggestions for new material
are greatly appreciated.

Bill.
