In reply to your e-mail of December 29th I would like to advise you
that the full list of product types which must have hygienic certificates
still does not exist. The Russian Government hygienic institutes are
planning to issue this information around February/March 1998. I hope to
publish this in Issue 6 of The tics Newsletter [email me if you wish to
receive a copy]
What is currently in existence is possibly what you have heard about, this is
the CIS Hygienic Norms for domestic products MSanPiN 001-96, which include
(EMC) electromagnetic emissions requirements to the domestic electrical
appliances of the following types:
1. Household units: refrigerators, freezers, cooking electrical
units, liquid boiling units, heating units, sanitary-hygienic heating
units, electrical domestic equipment, domestic units with electric
motors, clothes ironing units, household machines, washing machines,
kitchen mechanizing machines, sanitary-hygienic electrical units,
climate-control units, sewing machines, knitting machines;
2. Low-power electrical motors for automation and mechanization;
3. Electrical instruments: handheld and portable electrical
instruments, domestic wood-processing machine-tools;
4. Domestic radio-electronic equipment: electric-musical instruments,
electronic percussion/noise and auxiliary equipment;
5. Communication and information equipment: radio transmitting units for
radiotelephone and radiotelegraph communication, TV and Radio
broadcasting, wire communication equipment for common use, communication
links transmitting systems equipment for common use;
6. Measurement equipment: electrical analogue measurement units,
radio measurement units;
7. Lighting equipment;
8. Cinema and photographic equipment:
9. Computers and peripheral units, printing machines;
10. Specialized automation equipment: security and fire announcers,
security and fire control equipment, security and fire
message-transmitting systems;
11. Products or clothes made of synthetic materials (only for static
electricity).
