I make extensive use of: ELSEVIER"S TELECOMMUNICATION DICTIONARY, which gives me English, American, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Mine is from 1960, so it does not do me any good for the latest technologies. However, that is compensated for by the fact that most people, from whatever stripe, who dabble in High-tech, only know the American words for the phenomenon and never bothered to translate it into another language. This is certainly true for the Germans and the Dutch. I am sure that ELSEVIER'S published after 1960, but not so sure that they still do this Dictionary. The Distributor in the UK used to be: D. van Norstrand Company Ltd., London In Holland it is: Elsevier Publishing Company, Amsterdam Lord, knows, they may have merged and amalgamated 14 times in the intervening years, and Lord knows what they call themselves now.
