Greetings...
Can anyone tell me if there are any "special/additional" requirements
(relative to EU/TTE criteria) for interconnecting telecommunications
terminal equipment and digital leased lines operating at 56/64kbps or
Nx64kbps (up to 2Mbps) in the following countries:
North America... Mexico;
South America... Brazil;
Asia/Pacific... Korea;
China;
Japan (domestic); and
Japan (international).
Specifically, I am trying to gauge what "extra" needs to be done from a
technical/design perspective to take a CE-marked TTE device outside the
EU (i.e., additional country specific application/approval effort is
expected to get the paperwork in order).
For example, do the countries above support network interfaces such as
ITU-V.35, ITU-X.21 (V.11) and/or something else? Is there a preferred
connector (e.g., ISO/IEC-4902 verses ISO/IEC-4903) as well? Are there
different requirements for 64kbps verses "fractional E1" verses E1
service?
Bottomline...what does it take to "legally" connect such TTE to the
given public network with the administrative stuff aside?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Paul Brogle
