Hello Victor,

the address and phone number and building is the same, because the new
regulatory authority consists of parts of the old Bundesministerium
and of the Bundesamt in Mainz.
The changes had to be made to bring the adapted ONP Framework
Directive of the EC into force. (Harmonisation of the
telecommunications market; the national regulatory authorities have to
be independent) So, I think for the other EC member states it will be
     the same.
The BZT has been sold to the CUBIS/CETECOM (the contract will be
signed the 1st of feburary). The complete testing facilities and the
'notified body' were sold. From beginning of feburary there will be
the BZT privat CETECOM GmbH, as Karl-Heinz has explained.
There are other parties who have expressed their interest in joining
the business. So there will be several 'parties' in the near future.

     Regards

     Volker

The address is the same as the one I had for the Bundesministerium just
outside Bonn. A monumental building. Phone number very similar.
Question: The actual "approvals body" used to be BZT (Bundesamt fuer
Zulassungen in der Telekommunikation) in Saarbruecken. I understand that
there no longer is a BZT, but is there something under a new name in
Saarbruecken that does the actual approvals work ??

Plus que ca change, plus que ca reste la meme chose.

Ciao,

Vic
