TTE Directive is mandatory in additionn to the EMC Directive and LVD. The TTE
Directive requires third-party certification from a suitable Notified Body. You 
cannot self-declare like you can with the EMC Directive and LVD.

(Common Technical Regulation) CTR24 was harmonized on 19 September 1997 and
can now be used for pan-European approval.
