As several people have asked me what I found out regarding seismic testing here is a list of companies to talk to (i haven't spoke to all of them). What I know know is that certain sites require an installation to be signed off by the local authority (building inspector, fire marshall, etc....) for earthquakeness (my word) and or wind resistance. Generally the contractor provides this authority with drawings, calculations, in accordance with the UBC (Uniform Building Code), there is a seismic section. These drawings and calculations are signed by a Structural/Civil Engineer registered in CA.
