Equipment which is capable of being connected to the public telecommunication network, but is not intended for such purpose, shall be accompanied by a manufacturer's or supplier's declaration (which can be placed in the manual). The equipment must be marked with the non-telecommunications symbol, a.k.a. the crossed hockey sticks with a line through it.
The declaration consists of ; Manufacturer / Supplier: Company Name and Company Address Declares that: Equipment Type and Model Number is not intended to be connected to a public telecommunications network. A connection of such equipment to a public telecommunications network in a European Community Member State will be in violation of the national law implementing Directive 91/263/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning telecommunication terminal equipment, including the mutual recognition of their conformity.
