One source of information is a the EMC Symposium that will be held in August, 1998 in Denver. There will be a Friday Product Safety Workshop which will address the Low-Voltage, Medical, and Machinery directives. This isn't formal study, per se, but rather a professional dialog.
There will be an applications-oriented product safety presentation at the Silicon Valley Chapter of the EMC Society June 1 Colloquium in the San Jose, California area. (see www.scvemc.org) As the Product Safety Technical Committee (PSTC) Educational Sub-Committee chair, I would be very interested in the educational needs of the "safety testing field." Is there any formal training/study in existence in the world? Regards, Raymond Li
