Hello my esteemed colleagues: Are there any isolation (HY-POT) requirements to isolate the user from the cable plant? Maybe not as the cable plant is buried. Would it be SELV?
Should one anticipate power line induction issues? I assume that IEC-950, UL 1950, etc. are the correct standards to apply to cable modems. One would want Reinforced isolation from mains to the cable plant. Would IEC 65 apply? Any FCC requirements to be aware of? Thank you for entertaining these simple questions.
