Does anyone have any experience, or information, of CMOS 1488 Line drivers suffering from a sensitivity to static or transients. Particularly when the failure mode results in an almost dead short between the + & - 12 volt supply rails.? I am sure I read an article describing how this effect occurs a few years ago and now, probably because I am old and grey, I cannot remember where! All information gratefully received.
