We are developing a product which will have 2-wire type 5 E&M and 4-wire type 5 E&M interfaces and which will connect to a PBX (customer side, not network side). This product will be used in the US and internationally.
What is the connector for each of these interfaces? Also what is the proper pin assignment? Finally (and most importantly) what are the standards for these connector and pin assignments (both US and international standards.) I suspect the 6 and/or 8 position modular plug/jack standardized by FCC Part 68 would be used, but Part 68 does not specify applications for the customer side interfaces.
