From: [email protected] Subject: Re: German Return Loss, V.90 If you look at advisory notes ( document EG 201 121: a guide to application of TBR21), there is one specific for Germany (DE 09) where they recommend to meet the 14 dB return loss during DTMF dialling between 600 Hz and 1700 Hz. The advisory notes are not mandatory but if you don't do, you have to mention on the PSTN compatibility declaration ( as stated in CTR21) that your product might have problems working on the German PSTN. Nothing to do with V90.
