Pete,

For electrical requirements for the DC loop, to measure capacitance when 
sending dial signals, the ring signal is 20Hz. Results must be 3 uF or less.

For receiving state the ring signal is 75Vrms, 15-20 Hz. In the JATE blue book 
they use an example with 75Vrms/16Hz. This test provides impedance of the DC 
loop which must be  2Kohms or greater for 75Vrms/16Hz. 

These tests are for 2-wire analog lines.
