Rick, I apologize. Indeed, I mispoke. I was thinking in terms of the TTE Directive and did not mean to exclude CO equipment from the LVD and EMC Directives. Hence CE marking is required under the terms of those Directives.
However, there are no mandatory regulatory requirements, with respect to Telecom for Central Office equipment that I know of. The original question seemed to imply that there might be something like NEBBS requirements that were harmonized and mandated and therefore required CE marking. Ciao, Vic
