Here is all the info I have. These are not my words. The Government determined to follow the same level of homologation test for telecommunication equipment as that of developed countries and to apply mutual acceptance of type approval certificate among APEC countries from Yr2000. 1999 will be the preparation period for the new policy of mutual acceptance and all the homologation should be subjected to a new regulation. Main contents of the changed regulation summarizes; 1. The current standard of type approval test will be upgraded to that of developed countries. 2. Equipment should pass a new Electric Safety Test (IEC-950 standard) in addition to the newly defined Electric-Telecommunication test (FCC standard). 3. Test fee will be adjusted upward.
