My personal experience with 60vdc (actually square wave) in the 
US had to do with strand mounted devices on the pole for CATV 
equipment.  And more of a headend issue with cable tv companies 
than a CO environment.  This was in the process of being changed 
to 90vdc about two years ago.  Strictly US again.  

COs using 48vdc and 230vac seemed popular for Western Europe, but 
that's just from limited experience with only a few customers.  

I wouldn't know what the standard for repeaters out on line would be 
in the US or international. 

Anyone know that?
