What is the difference between this newly proposed forum and what we have
now in the PSTC? It seems to address all of the same subjects.

If regulatory compliance is not your responsibility within
your
organization, then please pass this on to the appropriate
individual(s). If you don't you may have lost a sale!

Note: OCRI is working in conjunction with a steering
committee, addressing the requirements for an information
networking group focused on regulatory approval.

The steering committee includes representatives from the
region's
premier technology companies. If this is an area of
interest to you,
please take a few minutes and review the following. Thank
you.

                RAFT
                Regulatory Approval Forum for Technology

Has your company lost out on a sale lately because your
product
                did not comply with regulations?

At present Ottawa, and in fact Canada, does not have an open
                forum regarding regulatory compliance. Professional
associations,
such as the Boston Chapter of Product Safety Engineers
focused
on the latest changes to safety standards, exist in other
communities.

A need for such an association exists in Ottawa. To this
end, a
steering committee, with representatives from several local
technology
companies, was created to start RAFT - Regulatory Approval
                Forum for Technology.

RAFT will provide you with an opportunity to network with
colleagues
                in the same field!

We intend to arrange for guest speakers from regulatory
organizations
such as C.S.A., International U.L., Industry Canada, and
industry to
address various subjects associated with regulatory
compliance.
Meetings will also include open discussion on general issues
of the day.

Tours of test facilities are also proposed.

Please let us know what topics you think are of interest by
taking a few

minutes to fill out the attached questionnaire.

Our intent is to launch RAFT in January 2000, we would
appreciate your
                response by December 3.
