Hi Kim Boll Jensen & Treg
I remember responding to a similar question through Treg some time ago. The
answer is that there are two versions of V.35 interface. The pin-outs and
connector (type MRAC) do not change, but electrical spec of the I/O lines does.
In the USA and Canada take care to ensure which type of V.35 system you are
designing. All V.35 interfaces have V.28 control lines but the Hybrid version
with V.28 and V.11 circuits is often used instead of the very low voltage (+ -
0.55v balanced) original V.35 signal lines. You may require two versions for
global markets. (Study the V.35 changes made at red and blue book issue).

Subject: V.35 standard

Dear all

We are working on a product which implements a V.35 interface, and we have just
got a list of ITU-T standards which shows that V.35 have not been valid since
1988. I know that a lot of new equipment still uses V.35 but have this standard
been changed to another standar but still called V.35 ?

Can anyone tells me more about the "life of V.35".

Best regards,

Mr. Kim Boll Jensen
