TREGgers The RTTE Directive is here. It was published in the Official Journal of the European Communities on 7 April 1999 as Directive 1999/5/EC, Ref: L91/10. Entry into force is 7 April 1999. Member States have to adopt the provisions of the Directive into national laws regulations etc. by 7 April 2000 and apply them from 8 April 2000. Directive 98/13/EC is repealed on 8 April 2000, although new equipment which is in accordance with the provisions of 98/13/EC can be placed on the market (for the first time) up until 8 April 2001.
