Subject: RE: CTR21 outside the EU?

James,

Accepting test reports and getting a TBR21 tweaked design approved are
two separate matters, the latter I do as a standard practice. To my
knowledge no Central or Eastern European countries are currently
accepting CTR21 (or TBR21 reports). The Czech authorities are talking
about it, but don't hold your breath as they haven't yet accepted ETS
300 001 (Czech portion) as the official standard to test against - this
particular issue has been going on for about 2 years!

South Africa I know are also talking about using TBR 21 towards the end
of 1999, this I think would be more likely to happen than in say the
Czech Republic.

I can't recall any others off the top of my head, but I don't have time
just now to sort through my files and confirm.

I hopes this helps a little.

Best regards, Edward

Subject: CTR21 outside the EU?

Dear all,

Does anyone know which, if any, non-EU (EFTA?) countries are currently
accepting the CTR21 standard? At the moment I'm mostly concerned with
Norway
and eastern Europe, but details for elsewhere would also be welcomed.

Thanks in advance,

James White
