I am interested in that too, although with Phone Technician (which did, in
case I didn’t mention it, fix the problem with my unlocked GSM Treo 650
wherein the volume buttons didn’t used to silence a call) I can just pick an
MP3 that has those characteristics.

My all-time favorite was the ring style of the Sony/Ericsson T39M. It would
give a soft “chirp” just once right at first, and then switch to vibrate
from there on. It worked perfectly for me. I haven’t yet found (and
haven’t looked too hard, really) for a way to simulate this on the 650.
Right now my “ring tone” is Marc Cohn’s “Walking in Memphis”!! :-)

Cheers,
Don

Subject: [Treo] ringtone -- short, then long

Hey, all, I'm looking for a ringtone for my Treo 650 that gives a
short loud blip/bleep/bing, waits a few seconds, and then goes into a
more normal ring.  A friend's phone has this ring and I really like it
-- it gives you a few seconds to answer the call before a continuous
(hence, really annoying) ring begins.

Any ideas?
