This will display a list of all of that contact's phone numbers and emails. Select which ever one you want and it will dial/email them for you. No need to have more than one favorite for one person.
Tried this, seems to half work as you describe. All phone numbers display on spacebar-tap when favorite is a number, but no email addresses show. And when fave is email, only that one address shows -- no multiple addresses, and no phone numbers.
