Interesting, except that the poster already has a fax # that he's advertised to
his contacts. Why would he want to get a new number?

Not to mention that j2/eFax will also give you a free number, if you're willing
to accept promotional email (spam) from them.

Seems like a thin thread to introduce this topic in response to the original
post...

Jeffrey:

You just never know where the next piece of useful and money saving
information comes from :o) Ain't that grand?

I was suggesting a FREE service that one can get to save money and spend it
on something else to soup up your Treo or give this money to a charity or
take your kids out to Chuck'E'Cheezes. At $10-20 per month, this would save
you $120-240 per year.

He stated that he uses is a lot for RECEVING FAXES, not SENDING them. There
are better alternatives like www.k7.net vs. eFax. This makes you think
outside the box, just like when you did when you bought your Treo :o)
compared to others who did not. And now you can fill up the box with lots of
Treo goodies for the money you save :o) We all like Treo goodies, don't we?

I hope you see the point and it helped others who did not think about it. If
there are 5 people who used this idea - this would be about $1,000 in
savings - Katrina refugees would appreciate that.

All the best!

Sincerely,
