OK, thanks! The reason I'm concerned about syncing is that the web site
talks about syncing of the "extra" stuff between the PalmOS and Windows
versions of Agendus. My assumption then would be that the extra stuff
gets sync'd through an Agendus conduit, and the "regular" stuff gets
sync'd through the normal means, which, for me, is over the air real
time push sync.

I think I looked at this program back when it was called Action Names
(right?) and didn't like it, but that was a long time ago. As long as
it leaves the built-in databases alone except for putting tokens in the
notes, and as long as it leaves my Notes alone (doesn't overwrite them),
I might give it a try.

I use (or try to use) the GTD methods of David Allen, but am constantly
coming up short in the management of tasks since, really, if I list
projects as DA suggests, I have literally hundreds (I'm a busy guy) that
I'm working on in one way or another. That leads to hundreds of Next
Actions (the DA analog to Tasks) and I just can't get my head around
tasks as they are presented by Outlook or the Palm Task list. I'm
thinking that the Quadrant look at tasks in Agendus might help. At least
it's worth a look.

Thanks for all the information. I'd appreciate any gotcha stories -
things that have gone wrong with Agendus and for which I should be
prepared.

Thanks, all!

Cheers,

Don

Agendus does not handle syncing at all. I think that the references to
Hotsync are just leftovers from when that was the only way to sync. So
using
it will not affect the transfer of data. What it does is to extend the
capabilities of your contact, calendar, and task handling. It does add
tokens in the notes section of all of these functions but as Alli said
you
don't see them as long as you look at everything through Agendus. When
you
look at things in Outlook you will see the tokens but they are really
not
too intrusive. One of the things I like about it is that you can keep an
automatic running history of all "contacts" with a contact in the notes
field for that contact. It will record meetings, tasks, and calls
associated
with that contact. I think that they don't emphasize the token thing
because
they assume that you will not care because of the advantages that
Agendus
gives you.

As you can see I like Agendus a lot. I have been using it for many years
and
would never go back to the native applications.

It will add "junk" if you use the contacts "relationship" function.
There will be the notation for linking a contact to a picture - but only

if you look at the contact from the built in contacts - it doesn't show
up at all if you look in the notes section within Agendus itself. Beyond

that, there doesn't appear to be any "junk" in the notes section.

I can't answer your part II.
