Hmmmmmmmm. I've used Versamail with POP3 and IMAP email and am now using it successfully with Exchange. I've had it download hundreds of messages and while there are been some interim communication problems it's always reestablished communication and completed the task. I suppose if your internal memory were limited (less likely on a 680) or something that could interfere with it. You can limit the size and number of emails it tries to bring down.
Not much help, I know. Versmail is setup to work with my mail account, and I had tested it prior. However, when I really wanted to use it, it didn't work. It took at least a half hour to process the IMAP overview, and then at the end told me that the connection to the server was lost. And in the meantime, I couldn't do anything else, it wasn't responding to any input. So, not really being interested in switching to another mail client, since I do this so infrequently it's not worth the cost to buy something better, does anyone know what the practical limit to what Versamail can handle is? -- Jeffrey Kaplan www.gordol.org The from userid is killfiled Send personal mail to gordol "The smaller the mind the greater the conceit.
