I have a hard time believing that Palm would sell itself unless someone came along with a better-than-share-price offer (which I doubt either Motorola or Nokia is likely to do). Palm is cash-rich and still competitive for a company its size with the #2 device in the fast-growing smartphone field. And if Hawkins does indeed come back (see my prediction #8 at http://www.gearbits.com/archives/2007/01/gearbits_predic_2.html), there's even more fuel for their continued success by themselves, at least for the next couple of years.
There may be heightened interest, but I doubt there's increased likelihood of it happening within the next 6 months. On 2/20/07, Paul Blumstein <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > http://www.unstrung.com/document.asp?doc_id=117592
