I have a class 2, 8GB Transcend in my Treo 680.
It feels slower than the old Crucial 1GB card I had, when used to load files
into documents to go.
Mainly I use it for holding books and music. Here speed does not make any
difference.

Initially when I tried to move all my files across onto the card I tried
using Card Export - forget it, it took far too long (fine for the odd office
file but not large amounts of data. So then I tried putting it into my card
reader - didn't work. I had to purchase a new card reader that would handle
SDHC cards.

Once the new card reader arrived, the card became usable. I was able to copy
all my music and books to the card. I use two book readers, eReader and
Mobipocket. In the case of eReader I don't have that many books, in the case
of Mobipocket I have hundreds. Mobipocket does not like you having large
numbers of its books on the card, it keeps trying to scan them all and
hangs. Lesson learned, I only keep about a dozen or twenty on the card at
any one time.

Conclusion. These slower large cards are generally fine for music and books
and the odd office files, but I would not like to try synchronising large
amounts of data to them on a daily basis. What I have not tried yet (may buy
one) is the Seido cradle and USB 2 cable, anyone any experience of this?
