First, do you use backup-to-card app? If you don't, shame on you...you need to get one. If you do, restore your most recent copy of MemosDB-PMem; if that's empty, restore an earlier version, and so on until you've got your memos back.
If you don't have a backup on your card, launch the Palm Desktop and check to see if your memos are still there. If they aren't: 1. Close Palm Desktop 2. Browse your /Palm/<username>/memopad directory 3. Rename "memopad.dat" to "memopad.old" 4. Rename "memopad.bak" to "memopad.dat" Now launch Palm Desktop again; if there still aren't any memos, I'm afraid you're S.O.L. If Palm Desktop does have your memos, rightclick the Hotsync Manager icon in your program tray, choose Custom and change the action of the Memos conduit to "Desktop overwrites handheld". _______ Bill > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Scandals & Animals > Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2007 1:58 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Treo] All memos vanished > > ...I checked my memos, and they were GONE, every last one. But will doing another hotsync rewrite the hotsync > backup on my PC, with the new test memo as the only one? How > do I get all my memos from the backup back to the device?
