The battery calibration is simple: Charge it fully, remove from the
charger for a moment, and then put it back on until the LED goes green
again. Then remove it from the charger and DO NOT CHARGE IT AGAIN
until the Treo dies due to lack of power. Depending on your usage,
this may take anywhere between 12 hours and 3 days. Then charge it
fully, and the battery meter should now be calibrated.

The date and time sync in the Date & Time prefs, set "Automatically
set" to "nothing".

Cingular's clock is slow anyway. If you want to keep the clock in sync
automatically, there are several time sync programs that work when you
hotsync, or OTA on demand/on a schedule. I use the one that comes
included in BackupBuddy Pro for the desktop.
