Well, yes. I expect my first-release Terminator to have trouble with its
clock, or with the signal it receives, or perhaps its lights will not perform
as advertised. It will crash with any pre-Terminator software installed. One
will have to look for Terminator friendly new releases of key programs.

Installing Terminator Butler will help, but for the problem really to be fixed
one will have to wait for the Terminator Updater 1.04 to be released.
Presumably 1.01 - 1.03 will have been updates that failed in the lab, hopefully
without any undue loss of life.

Cheers,
Don

Who would have thought that our beloved Palm creator would develop the AI
technology to destroy our future?

At least our generation will make it because the first few Terminators will
crash daily. The future generations will only meet their demise with help from
the Terminator AI patches from the Terminator Forum and email group members.

Thanks,

Carl W. Brooks

Yes, all sorts of science fiction horror stories await us if we're not careful.
Let us hope that we maintain control, so The Terminator, The Forbin Project,
that episode of Star Trek, that episode of Star Trek Voyager, and so many
others don't come true. Let's not even to in the direction of the Borg, which
also awaits us. I fear that the nirvana depicted in The Day the Earth Stood
Still is an unlikely and naƶe view of what would happen if machines were given
(or took) power over us. And as we've seen, the three laws of robotics are
pretty easy to cleverly circumvent or reinterpret in a different context.
Let's hope we figure it out in time.

Wait, what's that? Oh, my Treo has just told me what to do. I must go do it .
. .

Cheers,

Don
