It looks nice, but there are quite a few Treo UI standards that it doesn't follow - most notably navigation (application nav, not web site nav). For ex., one tap on the address bar should highlight the entire web address; it doesn't. Cursor movement with the navigator should be more standard as well. Even mOcean, the iPod look-alike, has recently added some more Treo-like navigation, their still not adding in normal Palm style menus notwithstanding.
Looks good, but I don't see much that it offers over the built-in browser on the 700p other than the three tabs. Must admit that sometimes tabbed browsing would be handy, but even handier would be the ability to switch back and forth quickly between the browser and, say, the address book. Maybe I need to look at McPhling again (will it do this on the Treo with these apps??), but the real answer lies, I hope, with a Linux core underlying the PalmOS apps. Add in a bunch more memory and one could switch between running apps to one's heart's content. No reason that one couldn't have multiple instances of the browser open at the same time either, for that matter. I don't find tabs much handier than multiple instances. All sorts of possibilities - hopefully soon! Then again, as I remind myself, on my Treo my use is about 30% phone, 25% address book, 25% calendar, 10% email, 5% tasks and notes, and 5% everything else. "Everything else" includes web browsing, Google maps, music, pictures, video, handyshopper, smartlisttogo databases, documents to go files, a few games, etc. etc.. YMMV. Most of the stuff in the previous paragraph falls in the "everything else" category, and so really the 700p does most of what I *need*. But I still *want* the rest, if only to dazzle the folks who'll end up showing off iPhones, etc..
