As odd as that sounds, that's my solution as well, although I do like keeping my Treo in some kind of case. I wear a tactical vest to school every day (http://sportsmansguide.com) has a really nice selection. All the pockets I need for my Treo, headphone, pens, pencils, dry erase markers, etc.
