Just for fun, because there is no new Treo to discuss, I thought I'd add
this link for the record on this topic:

http://support.
<http://support.dataviz.com/support.srch?docid=13861&pid=168>
dataviz.com/support.srch?docid=13861&pid=168

I WANT MY 755P FOR VERIZON!!! It's not for me, mind you, it's so we'll
have something new to talk about! Ugh, I hope they don't release it for
Sprint first. That would suck, for me!!

Cheers,

Don

Hello, Jim O'Sullivan.

On Mon, 9 Apr 2007 16:16:28 -0700 (PDT) you said:

> I'm pretty sure he said he upgraded to 9.0 which would put everything
in RAM, however the original version would stay resident in ROM. SO, to
suck up a few more KBs, he has the original in ROM, the upgrade in RAM
and the programs on the card.

Ok. If he did, I must've missed that bit.

Not to you specifically, Jim:

>From what DataViz told me when I enquired about updating D2G on my 680
and "move to card", is that yes, you can, and the loader knows which
version(s) to use.

The version in RAM "masks" the version in ROM from the launcher, so
you'll get the version you specifically installed as an upgrade, and if
you use "move to card", it will move the never versions of the apps
(Wordview, etc) to the card while, as noticed, the loader app (Docs2Go)
remains in RAM.

Note, too, that this app must remain in RAM (or NVRAM in the case of
the Treos and other newer Palms) in order to be able to synchronize the
documents.
